About Us
My name is Jennifer Wright. My husband Jarvis and I are the owners and operators of Paws Wright Inn. Years ago we had to board a dog for the first time, it wasn't easy! But it got us thinking and we started planning. Our goal became "own and operate a kennel". Jarvis and I were living in Saskatoon at the time so that I could attend the SIAST Veterinary Technician program. While there we also gained more experience by working at a boarding and daycare facility. Upon completion of my program, Jarvis and I moved back to Regina to start construction of our boarding facility. I took a job as a Vet Tech at the 24 Hr Animal Care Centre while we started planning, drawings and permits. In May 2010 we welcomed our daughter Aura to our family and after a short break got back to work on the kennel. We were excited to open Paws Wright Inn for business on September 1st 2010! We decided to keep a smaller number of kennels so we could have more time to spend with each animal. Owning and running this kennel is what we wanted to do for a long time now. We enjoy spending time with animals so we take the dogs outside for play time and exercise and then spend time hanging out in the office with them. We know how hard it is to leave a pet behind so we don't mind if you want to phone in and check up on them or if you give us your email address we can update you that way as well. You will likely see our daughter Aura with us at the kennel. Rest assured your pet is still being looked after. Since there's two of us we're finding a good balance of looking after Aura and still spoiling your pet. Aura already loves animals and we're lucky enough to have a career where she can come to work with us so she can spend time with your pet too. We do supervise the dogs around her and she seems to be irresistable to dogs and people! Jarvis and I are long time pet owners and will continue to be pet owners for years to come. Right now our four legged family consists of two indoor cats and two large breed dogs. Being the newest kennel for Regina and the surrounding area, Jarvis and I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
