| Q: Why can't we pick up our pets while you are there on Sundays of long weekends? |
A: PWI is dedicated to the care of the animals, and realize that most people have family gatherings during long weekends. As such, we are there to provide care for your pets. Since long weekends are busy, we like having the extra time to care for your pet. We won't deny the opportunity for an owner to pick up their pet, however, an extra fee of $14 may be charged for the service.

| Q: So you recommend a visit. When can we tour Paws Wright Inn? |
A: Feel free to stop by anytime during regular business hours for a tour, and we will try to accomodate you. Office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 10am - 6pm.
| Q: What can I bring when my dog comes to board? |
A: You can bring your dog's regular diet and any treats they enjoy, bedding or something that has a comforting scent from home, their favourite toys to play with and a nylon or leather collar. For safety reasons choke chains and pinch collars cannot be worn while in the kennel. If you want to travel light we can provide bedding, dishes, toys and food. We feed holistic premium Summit Canadian Chicken.
| Q: What vaccines does my pet require? |
A: We feel that the decision to vaccinate your dog is a choice to be made between you and your veterinarian, based on your dogs individual medical needs. We will accept non-vaccinated animals, only after consulting with your veterinarian about their overall health and/or antibody titre count verification. Dogs require the combination vaccine (includes distemper, adeno and parvo) and Rabies. We still do recommend the Bordetella vaccine ("kennel cough" vaccine) but it must be done a minimum of 10 days before your dog comes to board. Cats require current FRCP, (Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia) and current Rabies vaccination.
| Q: Are there any breeds of dogs you will not board? |
A: No, there are no breeds that we will not board. We welcome every breed of dog!
| Q: Does my animal need to be spayed or neutered? |
A: While we do encourage that you choose to spay or neuter your animal, we realize this isn't always an option, for example, show animals or breeding purposes. Therefore we will happily board animals that are still intact.
| Q: I free feed my dog at home, why won't you free feed him at your kennel? |
A: Some dogs may not eat because they are stressed about being away from home so we need to monitor them and ensure that they are getting adequate nutrition. We will leave their food available for them but in measured amounts.
| Q: What if my pet is going to be there for an extended stay? |
A: If your pet is staying for an extended term, and is on a special diet, please call us to discuss arrangements. If your pet runs out of their special diet food, we will gladly purchase more. The cost for this service will be $10.00 plus the cost of food. If there are no medical restrictions, then we may feed them a premium kennel-supplied food at no extra charge to you. Please contact us for extended boarding rates.
| Q: I don't want to kennel my dog. How can Paws Wright Inn help me? |
A: Nobody 'wants' to kennel their pet - we understand that. Boarding your animal while you're away can be a safe alternative. We've specifically designed the accommodations at our facility with your pet in mind. The accommodations are roomy, yet they provide a sense of comfort and safety, and your pets are boarded individually for privacy while eating and sleeping. We have a large fenced exercise yard for individual off-leash or group play time.
If the animal has never been boarded before, usually the first night is an adjustment period. Once they realize that they get play time, they're being fed, and that they're still getting attention and care, they settle in just fine. You're more than welcome to give us a call or send an e-mail to get an update on your pet during their stay.

| Q: Why can't I drop my pet off at 7am? Why can't I pick up my pet at 10pm? |
A: Our office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and Saturday - Sunday 10am - 6pm. We encourage you to make arrangements to pick up and drop off your pet between these hours. We do try to be accommodating however please understand we spend many more hours at the kennel or doing other things for the kennel. We are happy to run the kennel 7 days a week however we also need family time.
If you are unable to drop off within the hours on your selected day, consider dropping off your pet the day before. It could be beneficial to get your pet settled in before you start packing for your vacation. If you are unable to pick up your pet on the day you get back, consider going home for a good nights sleep and picking up your pet the next day feeling more refreshed and ready for your pet who is going to be excited to see you :)
